Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei Episode 23 Review Zhou

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei Episode 23 – Thoughts

It seems that Mr. Zhou has everything going according to plan. By allowing Lu Gonghu to be apprehended, the Chinese turn to him for help. I’m still not really sure what his motives are, but he seems to be in control of things. He’s calculated everything so far and now it’s only a matter of time until Tatsuya intervenes.

Mahouka Episode 23 Summary Chiaki

Chiaki has a bit of a rude awakening when Ichihara informs her that Senpai won’t notice her. I guess she had a bit of a vendetta against Tatsuya because he outclassed her on the entrance exams. Perhaps she used her sister’s accident as an excuse. Being second sucks since all the attention is put on Tatsuya while no one even bats an eye at her. She just wanted a bit of attention and ended up being manipulated by Zhou to advance his plans. Rather than reprimand her, Ichihara tries to steer her back on the right path. She’s a smart girl who just let her hormones cloud her judgement.

Mahouka Tatsuya vs Ichijou

It seems that all the previous characters introduced will be playing some role in this arc. Ichijou, Kyouko, Ono, and the rest of the characters introduced have made their appearance. Tatsuya must be a natural born leader since he’s uniting everyone against the enemy! Everyone wants another opportunity to one up Tatsuya.

Mahouka koukou no rettousei Episode 23 discussion

This whole time, Tatsuya’s been waiting for the next attack to occur. Most people felt safe with Lu Gonghu being apprehended, but as he mentioned, these weren’t just random attacks. The Chinese have a clear goal and aren’t finished yet. Zhou managed to break Lu Gonghu out and now we’re approaching the climax of the series.

Mahouka Tatsuya Shiba

Overall, there wasn’t much to discuss this episode. Most of it was setting up for the final episodes so it was quite dialogue heavy. I guess I’ll leave it at that and cut this post a bit short.
