Here we are, the start of a new arc. Unfortunately, not much happened this episode, but that’s to be expected. For the most part, we got a mix of fanservice/comedic scenes and long winded technical explanations.
The episode starts off with Ono appearing before Miyuki and Tatsuya during their training. She reveals that she’s associated with some other organizations and isn’t just some air headed teacher. I’m guessing this will be more relevant further down the road since Tatsuya is revealed to be a special officer as well. They’re clearly not your average students (if you couldn’t tell by how OP Tatsuya was) and there are special circumstances surrounding the two siblings.
The “soccer” game was a nice change of pace I guess from recent events. It gave us some more time to appreciate how awesome Tatsuya is. More importantly, we get to see a bit of the other characters’ personalities. Mikihiko is a new character who may play a more important part in the future (I’m assuming since they introduced him here). He seems to be your typical childhood friend who’s in love with his childhood friend type of characters though.
Tatsuya showing up to this school has caused quite a commotion. All of the students have taken notice of his abilities despite being classified as a weed. Due to Tatsuya’s other missions and “true identity” he wants to avoid as much attention as possible. For some reason though, he just gets thrown into the spotlight constantly. He continues to take on all of these new assignments in his school life and we haven’t been able to see much of what his true goals are.
After the terrorist incident, the students have reduced the barrier between the two classes. Tatsuya was initially concerned about the backlash for having a class two student being in charge of everyone’s CAD. However, he’s already shown how capable he is in almost all areas despite being classified in the B section of the school. Even Hanzo, who discriminated against him in the past, supports Tatsuya and recognizes his abilities.
The ending to the episode was pretty hilarious to me. Tatsuya once again proving that he is above all and completes the first flying spell which was said to be impossible. Miyuki continues to praise her onii-sama as he’s proven that he’s able to surpass everyone else and humanity. Tatsuya claims that this is needed to reach his goal so it makes me wonder what that could possibly be.
I tried to make this post longer, but not much happened in this episode. It’s primarily a build up since it’s the start of a brand new arc. While nothing serious happened, I still did find the Tatsuya circle-jerk and awkward Onii-sama moments to be pretty entertaining. I actually wouldn’t mind to see more slice of life types of scenes with the other class two students since I think Erika is an interesting character. Anyways, I guess that’s it for this episode since I’m not really sure what else there is to discuss about this episode. In other news, if you haven’t already, you can check out my overall view on the spring season thus far here.
